"But the fruit of the Spirit is
love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and
self-control. Against such things there is no law." (Galatians Chapter 5, verses
22-23)
No discussion of our purpose or mission would be complete or even get off
to a good start without mention of our belief in God, our belief of the Bible
as God's word to the world, and without our profession of faith in Jesus Christ
as our Lord and Savior.
Chiropractic works with natural laws and does not require that you have a
spiritual experience to receive help. However, our view of health is that it is
not only physical but, mental, emotional, and spiritual.
With that in mind, let me say that the purpose and mission of our office is to
provide the best Chiropractic care possible to our patients. In line with that
mission is our attempt (we are not perfect and have made mistakes) to live our
lives in harmony with others, abiding by the fruits of the spirit listed above.
We realize that many reading this have no interest in 'religion' or
'spirituality'. We will still love and respect you and honor your belief
systems, while at the same time trying hard to live our lives with love, joy,
peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and
self-control. Against such things, in my humble opinion, even a non-Christian
would have trouble finding fault.
With that
as background, let me begin to explain our seemingly simple mission statement
phrase by phrase.
To Provide:
We want to be available to serve our
patients. The very definition of a provider is one that is accessible. We have
and will continue to see patients on regular business hours and also after hours
when necessary. We have provided hundreds of after hour visits over the years at
with no extra fees. Our patients have been very good about not taking advantage
of this: when we get an after-hours call, we know that person in need of care
and we are happy to arrange care, whether it is at the office or as a house
call. Dr Cindy and Dr Steve have made hospital visits, nursing home visits, and
home visits when necessary. Of course, the largest percentage of our care has
been delivered at our office which we are constantly trying to improve. Our
staff is well trained and it is our desire that they are instilled with a
healing attitude. We are a team, Team Fall Creek Chiropractic, whose desire and
goal is to provide the very best care possible.
The Very Best
This
phrase is not taken lightly by us. The very best means that we like the famous
John Wooden was known for saying, need
to make everyday a masterpiece. Like my very good friend and exceptional artist
Gene Milligan does with his paintings, we need to do with our work on the
canvas of everyday, like it was something that was to be hung on a wall with
our name on it. One of my favorite movies of all time is Rudy. Those of you who
know the movie know that it is a very emotional and motivating movie. In one
scene, Rudy has just tackled one of the star players in a practice session. A
fight ensues and after it is broken up, the star player complains to the coach
that Rudy is playing every practice play like it is the Super bowl.
That is what we mean when we say our very best. Make everyday a masterpiece
that will be hung on the wall with our name on it. Play every play like it was
the super bowl. Make every patient feel the love and appreciation that they deserve
as our patients. Make them know that they are special to us and that they have
come to the right place to receive help and healing. We do not take the words,
'Very Best' with any less meaning than that: that we are constantly striving to
instill that same attitude and understanding into our practice team partners.
It would be nice to say that we have always succeeded at this, but we are human
and have not. That fact motivates us to strive to fulfill that part of our
mission to do our very best. If you are reading this and would like to help us
in our mission, email us or talk to us and let us know how we can improve the
service you receive. We are open to suggestions and comments and appreciate any
and all. Help us to fulfill our mission of doing our very best!
Chiropractic Care
Dr. Cindy and Dr. Steve has spent their lives preparing for and studying Chiropractic
and what it involves.Volumes could
be written on what this concept involves but what are giving you here is the ‘boiled
down’ and ‘nut and bolts’ version of what Chiropractic care
is.Chiropractic care is
providing a patient with a form of health care that includes analysis of the
spine and contiguous structures to determine if there is
Subluxation. Then it is the job
of the Chiropractor to fix that subluxation, allowing the body to heal without
the interference to the nerve system from the subluxation.
